L-Shaped Dormer Conversion & Chimney Breast Removal NR2 2EA

Another L-Shaped Loft Conversion with en-suite bathroom in a "Walk-in" terrace house in Norwich.

My client wanted to partly remove one chimney stack to increase a 1st floor bedroom width. The neighbour has already removed part of his. Therefore, it is structurally unwise to only use gallows. Moreover, it is recommended Gallows brackets are not to be used if the brickwork to which they will be attached is bonded together with lime mortar. The advice of a Structural Engineer should be seeked. This project has passed Structural Engineer stage and has Building Control Approval.
